SUSAN J. FONTAINE  1948  -  2010

Susan passed away peacefully on July 5, 2010 in her home. She was born on Aug. 19, 1948, the daughter of the late Charles E. Fontaine and Noemi “Amy” (Bisol) Fontaine. She worked for the Rockport Shoe Company for 10 years, and was a member of St. Cecilia’s Church.

She leaves her mother, Noemi “Amy” (Bisol) Fontaine, with whom she lived; three brothers, Charles Fontaine, Andre A. Fontaine, Paul F. Fontaine; three nephews, Christopher Fontaine, Nicolas Fontaine, Paul Fontaine Jr; one niece, Nicole Daly; and her great nieces and nephews, Lauren, Alexander, Ellie, and Julia.

The funeral will be held in St. Cecilia’s Church on Friday, July 9, with a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery. Brandon Funeral Home is directing arrangements.

Ronald P. Belliveau

1949  -  2009

Ronald P. "Belly" Belliveau, 60, of Leominster, died Friday evening at his sister's home in Lunenburg, after an illness. He was a happy-go-lucky guy, loved by all and he will be missed. He was born June 11, 1949 in Fitchburg, MA son of Raymond and Pauline (Martin) Belliveau. He served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1967 until 1969, with a tour of duty in Vietnam. He received the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, and the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. Mr. Belliveau worked at American Hanger, Sanitank, and for the last 18 years at Need-A-Lift.. He is survived by two sons, Justin Belliveau and Tyler Belliveau both of Leominster, two brothers Kenneth Belliveau and his wife Patti of Leominster, Jerry Belliveau and his wife Sandra of Vermont, two sisters, his caregiver, Nancy LeBlanc and her husband Dave of Lunenburg, and Lynn Farnham and her husband Brian of Shirley, 13 nieces and nephews, 15 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Katherine Howe

1949  -  2008

Katherine Howe, 60, died September 30, 2009 at her home in Leominster. She was born May 29, 1949 in Leominster, daughter of Richard and Mildred H. (Hart) Howe. She was an Administrative Assistant at Photo Graphic Media. Katherine was a 1967 graduate of Leominster High School, A graduate of Newton Jr. College and Boston University. She was a good photographer, stamp collector, and had also played the Clarenet in the LHS Band. She is survived by two brothers, Harry Howe and his wife Rachel of Leominster and Thomas Howe and his wife Jenni of Holden, one sister Virginia Howe and husband Paul Poyant of Acton, MA, and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Paul R. Camire

1948 -  2008

Paul R. Camire 60 of Gardner, died Monday December 29, 2008 in his home. He was born on August 8, 1948 in Leominster, MA, was the son of Honore L. and Bernadette (Gariepy) Camire. He was a graduate of Leominster High School and Mount Wachusett Community College. He worked for the Rand Whitney Co in Fitchburg and the Simplex Time Recorder Co. before retiring. Mr. Camire was a car and motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed outdoor sports. He is survived by his mother Bernadette Camire of South Yarmouth, MA, a son Paul Camire of Medford, MA, four brothers Andre B. Camire of Leominster, Robert L. Camire of Jaffrey, N.H., Thomas J. Camire of East Dennis, MA, and William R. Camire of Winchendon, MA.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery in Leominster. Wright-Roy Funeral Home 109 West St. in Leominster is directing arrangements. 

Deborah K. (Kinsey) Rosa

1949 - 2008

Deborah K. (Kinsey) Rosa, 59, died Sunday at Leominster Hospital surrounded by her loving family, after being stricken ill at home.

She was born in Leominster on July 21, 1949, the daughter of Joseph and Genevieve Kinsey. She leaves her loving husband of 40 years, Dennis Rosa; a son, Scott and his wife Dawn (McGillivary) Rosa of Attleboro; and a daughter, Amy and her husband Paul Roux of Clinton; a sister Lisa LaPrade and her husband Mark of Leominster; four grandchildren and one grandchild on the way, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, mother and a brother.

She was the Chief Financial Officer for American Auto Body Repair Inc., and was Co-Owner of DJ's Discount Auto Body Supplies and Accessories. She loved politics and helped run her husband's political campaigns for over 20 years, and also assisted the candidates she supported for offices: locally, county, state, and nationally. She always said that Politics was her "Favorite Sport."

Burial was in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster.

Charles Conefrey, Jr.

Chuck

1949  -  2008

 

Charles Martin Conefrey, Jr., 59, of Tallahassee, Florida had lived in Leominster and was a Hudson teacher. Chuck died on June 3, 2008, unexpectedly in Tallahassee. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Erin N. Conefrey of Lynn, Massachusetts; his son, Charles M. Conefrey, III of San Diego, California; three sisters, Frances R. Moniz,  Shirley A. Hudson, and Mariann Rosa of Leominster; several nieces, grandnieces, and one grandnephew. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert H. Conefrey who passed away on March 3, 2008.

Mr. Conefrey was born on February 3, 1949 in Leominster, son of Charles M. and Gretchen (Holbrook) Conefrey, Sr. He graduated from Fitchburg State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. He then received a Masters Degree in education and a Masters Degree in Administration. Chuck served as an educator and later as an administrator in the Hudson Public School System. In 2000, he was semi-retired and moved to Florida with his beloved dog Callie. He later became a regional sales manager for Sears and Roebuck Co. until his death.

Harold H. Lowe

 

1949  - 2007

Harold, 58, of 959 Lancaster St. in Leominster died on Friday Sept. 7, 2007, in U Mass Memorial Hospital in Worcester.

He was born on April 6, 1949. in Fitchburg, son of Harold T. and Barbara ( Hoellrich) Lowe Jr. He attended Fitchburg State College, before going into the United States Army.

Mr. Lowe and his father were partners in Mastercraft Boat Co. - Truck Cap of Leominster.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jean F. (Snow) Lowe of Leominster; his mother, Barbara (Hoellrich) Lowe of Leominster; his son, Nicholas H. Lowe of Leominster; sisters, Linda H. Dailey and Susan P. Downing both of Leominster; 10 nieces and nephews and two great-nephews.

Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery in Lancaster.

Dennis L. Brooks

“Booney”

1949  -  2003

Dennis died in Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston, after an illness. He was born in Leominster, the son of Lloyd F. and Rosilda (Fluet) Brooks. He lived in Leominster and served in the Army in Viet Nam. He was buried in St. Cecelia's Cemetery.

 

Reed M. Pelletier

1949  -  2006

Reed died in UMass Memorial Health Care-Clinton Hospital after becoming ill at work. He was born in Leominster, the son of Raymond R. and Lena A. (Scarale) Pelletier. He attended the former Worcester Junior College. He was buried in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster.

 

Ronald J. Freda    1948 -1997

Ron Freda died Wednesday October 15, 1997 at the Leominster Hospital after becoming ill at home. The son of Felicia and Pasquale Freda, he was born September 1, 1948 in Leominster and lived here his whole life.

His military service, including Viet Nam, earned him a Purple Heart, Viet Nam Service Medal, Viet Nam Campaign Ribbon and Combat Medic Badge.

After working for several years as an Optician at Northeast Optical Co., he became disabled in 1977.

He helped Co-Found the Viet Nam Veterans of America, Post 116. He was a member of the Disabled Veterans of America.
