CELEBRATING HIS 80TH April 28, 2006
Lifelong Leominster resident John A. Proietti celebrated his 80th
birthday April 16. Proietti, a retired plastics moldmaker and U.S.
Navy veteran, was born April 16, 1926, to Concetta and Augusto
Proietti, who raised eight children here. Proietti and his wife,
Dorothy, have six children: Paul of La Grange, Ill., Michael of
Leominster, Linda Grossi of Leominster, Deborah Carbone of
Leominster, John Jr. of Ashby, and Matthew of Penn Valley, Calif.
Michael and his wife, Laura, hosted a birthday party in his honor
April 15 at their home. The Proiettis have 14 grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren. They will celebrate their 57th wedding
anniversary June 4, 2006. Proietti interrupted his studies at
Leominster High School from 1944 to 1946 to serve in the Navy during
World War II. He returned to school and graduated as a member of the
Class of 1947. |

a trip from Texas and we got to have a beer and talk about "Old Times",
